We investigate the phenomenon of electron–positron pair production in intense external backgrounds within strong-field regime. perform nonperturbative calculations by solving quantum kinetic equations, and obtain momentum distributions particles created total number pairs. In particular, we analyze validity locally constant field approximation (LCFA), which represents a powerful method for treating inhomogeneous backgrounds. consider combination two consecutive time-dependent Sauter pulses thoroughly examine effects interference role Pauli exclusion principle. It is shown that latter can be approximately incorporated LCFA when computing distributions, while closed-form expression particle yield completely disregards blocking. demonstrated presence multiple turning points classical electron trajectories, one observes patterns spectra, may significantly overestimate To further elaborate this issue, analogous case scalar QED. statistics enhance bosons produced.
